My Family is Taking the Listerine Oral Care Challenge

As someone who is particular about her oral hygeine, I find it frustrating that my son does not approach his with the same vigor. It's like pulling teeth (no pun intended) to get him to brush his teeth sometimes. And a huge hassle to get him to brush them long enough.

Maybe it's a boy thing. Or a kid thing. I don't know, but it's frustrating to say the least. My hubby and I have good oral hygeine habits. I will admit to missing a day from time to time of flossing, though. But I try to be diligent in my flossing practices, as much as possible.

For many years I brushed my teeth way to harshly. I thought brushing my teeth and gums vigorously meant I was really getting them clean. Not so. It actually damaged my gums. So now I just concentrate on brushing for a minimum of 3 minutes.

Recently I was offered the opportunity to take the Listerine Oral Care Challenge -- I jumped at it. My reasoning is this... my son loves challenges/contests, so if he thinks taking better care of his teeth is like a challenge, he'll do what he has to without putting up a fuss. My hopes are that this will help develop better oral hygeine habits.

So, I'll tell you in a few weeks how the Listerine Oral Care Challenge is going. Here's to a cleaner, healthier mouth, gums, and teeth!

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Listerine and received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
